James Chester arrived from West Brom in July 2016 – and his debut interview was one of the first launched in full on Aston Villa’s official YouTube channel.
In the preceding years of the in-house video team, all interviews were housed on AVTV’s subscription site but, in a change of strategy, the club moved to a free service, enabling the content to resonate far and wide.
