Hi there. I’m Paul Brown.

I’ve been told I really need to grab your attention in this section. So here goes.

I’ve met Tom Hanks. I’ve interviewed John Terry, Jack Grealish and Joe Cole. I’ve been on Martin O’Neill’s winning quiz team. I’ve compared beards with Roy Keane. I’ve sung for Tim Sherwood. Oh and my dad has a statue outside the Hawthorns at West Bromwich Albion.

I’m a Managing Editor, with over 20 years of experience working in sport, most notably with Aston Villa and Manchester City in the Premier League.

I’ve led teams across social, editorial and video and managed owned channels for audiences topping millions.

My approach is simple. I believe in the power of compelling storytelling with content in order to bring brands to life. I strive to leave lasting impressions and I love producing emotional responses.

As well as this strategic thinking, I’m also responsible for the planning, production and timely execution of the content, too.

I lean into robust planning via content meetings as well as creating, owning and managing the editorial calendar, ensuring there’s transparent awareness of upcoming activity.

How do we create this impactful content? I harness all areas of the creative world – video, animation, illustration, design and editorial – by working closely alongside either internal creative teams or external creative agencies.

Not only do I love being a Managing Editor – I also love inspiring people as a mindful leader at work.

I want to bring the best out of people around me. I want to motivate my colleagues as we create content that excites.

When I’m not on social media. Actually, who are we kidding? I’m always on social media.
